Office Policies

SCHEDULING APPOINTMENTS

Please call during regular office hours (8:30am-1:00pm, 2:00pm-5:00pm) and our staff will be happy to assist you with an appointment. We schedule well child visits, re-checks, and appointments for long standing problems in advance. Sick visits are scheduled the day your child is ill. Well child visits should be scheduled at 10-14 days, 1, 2 , 4 ,6 ,9 months, 1 year, 15 and 18 months, 2 years, then once per year.

We are happy to help answer your questions between well visits, help you decide if an office visit is necessary, and offer home care advice when appropriate. Calls are returned throughout the day by our trained staff, in consultation with the clinicians. Please leave a correct phone number and your pharmacy number. Because we don't think it is a good medical practice, it is our policy NOT to prescribe antibiotics over the phone.

Please Help Us Stay On Schedule:

1. Call 24 hours in advance if you are unable to keep a scheduled appointment.

2. "WALK INS" are accepted for true emergencies only. Call first, and you will be given an appointment time then triaged to the severity of your child's illness.

3. Call if you are running late. We will discuss either a new appointment time if your child is sick, or rescheduling for another day. If you arrive more than 15 minutes late you will be rescheduled for the next available appointment.

4. Please help us keep the office clean by not bringing food or drink (except breast/bottle for infants).

5. Please be aware of your insurance plan's benefits and restrictions. Bring a copy of your childs insurance card to each visit.

6. Please be aware that we ask for payment at the time of service, although special arrangements can be discussed in advance. We accept Visa, MasterCard, American Express and Discover.
