LABS and PROCEDURES

LABS:

In office:

· Rapid strep test

· Urinalysis

· Hematocrit (finger prick)

· Glucose

· Pregnancy test

To Lab:

· Cholesterol, Lipid profile

· Bilirubin

· CBC, Mono test, Blood Cultures

· All blood, urine, and stool tests as indicated

We use Quest and LabCorp and will fill out a requisition for you to take to the lab, both of which are located within a half mile from the office. For stat labs we often  use Children’s Hospital of Atlanta at Egelston, where we can get results very quickly.

· Ingrown toenails

· Foreign body removal

· Scalp scrapings

· Simple splints

EAR PIERCING:

We use a special technique using hypoallergenic medical grade plastic earrings. They are attractive and will not cause an allergic reaction. The procedure is quick and easy, with minimal discomfort and can be done at any age above 6 months. The earrings can be replaced after 6-8 weeks , but many patients choose to keep them in longer. After 6-8 weeks you can replace ours with your family’s favorite earrings.
