Up To Date

There is so much information available on the web, the television, the newspaper, etc., that it is difficult to sort through and figure out what is useful. We think two of the best places to find easy to read summaries of current articles about things that effect kids is the KidsHealth website and the AAP’s parent website  Here you will find news headlines and will be able to easily see if anything is of interest to you, read the summary and link to a lot of additional information.

Examples of recent articles include:

Most Kids who Take Vitamins Daily Don’t Need Them

New Food Guide Pyramid for Preschoolers

Study: Background TV Bad for Early Development

The AAP Takes Aim at Alternative Vaccine Schedule

AAP Recommends Doubling Kid’s Daily Vitamin D

We would like every child to have access to a good book and would like you to help us make that possible. We have set up a bookcase at our check out area that is available for every patient, especially those who may otherwise not have the opportunity, to pick out a book to take home. The success depends on your generosity….Please consider donating your used books or bringing one book each time you come to donate to our library. We feel it is an excellent way to promote reading and sharing. Encouraging reading, as well as encouraging your child to share his or her favorite books with others is very rewarding.

Share a Book Initiative

Please consider donating to our library on your next visit. We would love to have good books available for all to enjoy and take home.
